This One of a Kind Cross was FUN to make!

I just designed it as I went!

It's made out of Clay, painted, sanded and stained!

It is made on an old brass candle holder!

It is adorned with the word GRACE stamped on aged card stock

and threaded through with rusty wire!

It also has curly rusty wire, bells, an old key, red linen ribbon

and another little tag that says "Have"

~ So Me and My Girl, Sammie are now Yoga Junkies!~

Yes, we are....

We absolutely LOVE it!!

It is "Our" time and I wouldn't have it any other way!

So.. Of course, I had to make us bags for our Yoga Mats!!

Easy Peasy!!

Found the pattern online at a cute little website!

The above one is mine!

I added the funky little pocket to the front for

my water, phone and keys!!

Whoop!! Whoop!

They just have a little draw string to close em up!

And the strap is some cute ribbon!

This one is Sammies!!

~So here are both of them!! ~

Sammie's is on the right!

We had fun going to Joann's and picking out our material

on Sunday! But...... we were almost late to our Yoga!

Yikes!!

But we made it!! :)

And.... in our last class the teacher taught us a Crow Poise!

Sammie can hold it for just a bit, but I am so Proud of her!!

My first Creation of 2011....

Whooo Hoooo!!

This was pretty fun to make!

I changed it up a bit compared to the pattern!
Which I LOVE doing...

Making it my own!

This Make-Do Measures 19 inches tall!

And is 14 1/2 inches wide from tail to tail!

It's base is an old funky brass candle holder

with rusty wire, bells and a brown linen bow!!

The little birds are sewn on top of the heart

but I did have to hot glue the Spanish moss

around them..

I hate hot glue, but it was a MUST!

Yikes!

Both the Birds and the Heart is made out of Muslin that

I have painted, sanded and stained!!

The inside of the heart is an OLD quilt....

That has been all stitched on around the edge!!

The little Banner reads "Valentine"!
It is all hand stitched on!!
I have included another one that you can
replace when Love Day is over
that reads "Home Sweet Home"
It is pinned on with lil' rusty safety pins!!

Riding a bike....

So, like I said....

I tried working a "Real Job" for a year!

Ha! Ha! Ha!

And.... I learned I'm just not cut out for it!!

So around November my dear friend in California ordered

a "Long" doll, as we call it, for her dear friend for her Birthday!!!

Yippie!!!

BUT I hadn't sewn or created much of anything for a LONG time!!

Yikes!!

SO away I went..... tracing, sewing, stuffing, painting, stitching, staining....

Whew... it was like riding a bike! You never forget how to do it!!

Hot Diggity Dog!!

She was so much fun to make!!!

She made it to California in one piece

and is now resting cozy in Miss Tara's home!!

I believe she named her "Old Miss"!!

Ha! Ha!

I'm thinking today I am going to go jump back on that bike

and create something Valentine!!

We shall see how far I peddle! ha ha!!

Airplane Heaven...

This was my view from my Airplane Window this past December...

I was in complete Awe! It was beautiful! It was Mesmerising!

It was another one of God's Masterpieces!

I pictured myself walking through this opening

and being greeted by my Grandpas, Grandmas,

Aunts & Friends that I miss so dearly!!!

Hugging and laughing and having smiles galore!!

Praise God that I am married to a patient man!!

Our Summer Vacation is OVER here in Mississippi!

starts for the kids in just 6 days!!

Ty will be going into the 7th grade!

Samantha will be going into the 5th grade!

Pretty soon they will be graduating

High School and leaving for College!!

~Happy Friday Everyone!!~

Well, my week has been great!! I got all my goodies made, stayed on top of the laundry, got the kids off to school and Lee off to work on time, started SOME MORE lil' goodies yesterday and Whew..... Friday is already HERE!! Three day weekend coming up!! Hooray!! The boys will be hunting Sat Morn and Sun Morn, Sammie and I will be helping out in the "crawlers" room at church on Sun. and then off to a "Fun Event" with her Sunday School Class that afternoon!! Who knows what Monday will bring! Probably lots of resting and relaxing before school starts back!!

The Holidays swept by with a Whirlwind of Fun, Family and Friends!

Some days there was NOT enough time to fit it all in, but we seemed to do it all!!

Whew!

It is always a time when I struggle with making goodies to sell and making goodies for gifts!!

I ALWAYS opt to go the "gift" route and my lil' business get pushed to the back burner!!

Yikes!!

Well, it has been a while since I actually got on here and "blogged"!! he he!!! We have been busy with Christmas Parties, School Parties, Visiting Santa for our "Yearly Santa Picture", and baking up a storm!!
Today we are going to go see "Seussical the Musical" up in Tennessee! It should be some good, family fun time!! Hooray!! We are gearing up for Christmas just FINE!!! Got the Christmas Bingo Cards all printed out for our Christmas Eve FUN up at Grandma and Grandpa Hines' house!! Christmas shopping is "almost" done.. just gotta get a few more things!!

We can't wait for Santa to get here!!

My Son, Ty has his 2 year post transplant appts this week at St. Jude!
He has been cancer free for 2 years so far!!
GOD is good!!
Pray that the cancer is gone FOREVER!!

It is SUCH a beautiful day outside! The leaves are turning, the sky is as

blue as ever & the white puffy clouds are just strolling by as if to say,

"What a beautiful view we have up here!"

But here I am cleaning, folding clothes, making flyers

for our neighborhood sale, voting, listening to Spongebob Square Pants,

wanting to EAT all the Snickers in the Kids Candy bags & getting ready to SEW!!

So....
The first time I saw this street sign, I wanted to steal it!
But.... I didn't! (YET!)

You see this is my Maiden name, My son's middle name

and

then, of course, there is my WONDERFUL

~*~ Grandpa Hines~*~

I LOVED him SO much! He always let me BE me!

I could EAT anything, DO anything & of course, do NO Wrong!
I Miss him VERY much!! He was my buddy!!

He passed away right after Lee & I got married

about 16 years ago!

He was a Hoot!!!

STUBBORN as a mule & So awnry to myGrandma!!!

He used to stand in the house in the front window right in front

of her car as she pulled up and "Flip " her off!!

And... just SMILE & Laugh!!! LOL!!!

He knew just how to get her all wound up!!

HILARIOUS!!!

I am pretty sure when he died, he was pissed off!!

Although, he knew the bible front and back ( He read the entire thing)

& what was awaiting himwas glorious!!!

But I dont' think he was DONE here on earth YET!!

I am certain he needed to paint something, fix something, go for a walk or

make some of his cookies he ALWAYS made!!

Yummy!!

Now, I am HAPPY to say, my children have their "OWN" Grampa

Hines ( My Daddy)!!

And he is one cool dude!! He is not as awnry & stubborn as

"MY OWN" Grandpa Hines though and I LOVE him just as much!!

I am sure it means STRONG, TRUE, HUMBLE, REAL

So... I have been enjoying the past week as you can

My parents got here on Wednesday!
They made it to their lil' Mississippi Cottage all

Safe & Sound! Just in time to watch the Leaves change!

The weather has been wonderful which means

Fall is in the Air! Yippie! Yippie! Yippie!

We had Soccer Games & Football Games this

Weekend, too! Hooooooray!! No wins, but Hey, It's all Good!

And..... we made it to the Pumpkin Patch for

Cornstalks, Gourds, & Pumpkins!

I got the front porch all decorated, too!!

our "2nd Annual Survivors Get together"

My priorities kinda got swtiched around!

I am So SORRY!!!

I will get them done ASAP....

WELL..... I survived my Garage Sale!
Yippie!
I have to say I did Pretty good!

I have to say... I will NEVER do it again!

How can you possibly "collect" so MUCH stuff?

So I am busy stuffing my dollies
I should have a couple done before the 1st!!!
Then finish up the rest during the week!
We will see what happens!!!

We have 2 St. Jude Friends coming over for our
2nd Annual "Survivor" get together!
Both of their sons had Leukemia like Ty

they are all cancer free still!!!
